Ms. Michelle is an amazingly beautiful, talented and classy young lady that represents the best the female gender has to offer (in any shape, form or fashion). To suggest that it is myopic thinking to be insulted once again because this type of woman could only be coupled with anything but a beautiful and classy black male is myopic at its lowest level. This is not a matter of the heart but a matter of misrepresentation of the black love experience. I am not suggesting that interracial affairs are wrong but that the absents of the black strong loving couples in our media is an injustice. We cannot tell our kids to love universally if we allow our black men not to be apart of that universe. We are saying ever time we allow misrepresentation (the absents of black loving couples in the American media) THAT COLOR DOES NOT MATTER NEITHER DOES OUR BLACK MEN. Now as I sit and listen to tracks from your 2nd album I realize that you've got me again! "Love Is You" is such a beautiful song and I like the video as well. I sat at my computer and just let it play and play. I think you are such a beautiful young lady and I love your soul. You have nuances that are like the "sounds of old". I'm a new listener to your music. Your two CD's are excellent. I truly love the through-back styled vocals on this song. Your videos, on the other hand, don't truly capture what you bring to the table as a vocalist -- the "Love is you" video, in particular. The drama feels forced, and the lead character...what can I say? I love your music and boldness though.. I just can't watch your videos. Def Jam needs to put better resources behind you.
